The Municipality of Tago is currently holding its Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) Midterm Review and Planning Workshop cum Budget Deliberation, with key local officials, department heads, and partner government agencies actively participating in the ongoing sessions.
Leading the workshop is Municipal Mayor Jelio Val C. Laurente, who opened the activity by highlighting the municipalityโs progress over the past years and emphasizing the importance of inclusive planning to meet the evolving needs of the community. He encouraged open dialogue and collaboration among all stakeholders to ensure the effective updating of the CDP.
Vice Mayor Ira Minette C. Pimentel is also present, along with members of the Sangguniang Bayan, contributing to discussions on legislative priorities and the alignment of proposed programs with the local development agenda.
The workshop brings together Department Heads and Designates, who are presenting sectoral accomplishments, identifying challenges, and proposing projects and activities for the remainder of the CDP cycle. The activity also serves as a venue for Partner Government Agencies to provide technical input and support to enhance the planning and budgeting process.
Breakout sessions are currently underway, focusing on thematic areas such as social development, economic growth, infrastructure, environmental management, and institutional development. Each group is tasked with reviewing existing strategies, identifying key priority areas, and drafting proposals for integration into the updated CDP and budget.
The budget deliberation segment is also ongoing, with concerned offices defending their proposed programs and projects for inclusion in the Annual Investment Plan (AIP) and local budget.
This ongoing activity reflects the Municipality of Tagoโs commitment to participatory governance, evidence-based planning, and strategic budgeting- all aimed at improving public service delivery and fostering sustainable local development.
