Tago Municipal Officials Join Strategic Leadership Training for Good Governance in Butuan City.

Municipal officials of Tago, Surigao del Sur, headed by Municipal Mayor Jelio Val C. Laurente, actively participated in the Strategic Leadership for Good Governance: Introductory Course for Newly-Minted Officials (NEO) held on September 9โ€“11, 2025 at Hotel Oazis, Butuan City, Agusan del Norte.
Joining Mayor Laurente in this important capacity-building activity were Municipal Vice Mayor Ira Pimentel and members of the Sangguniang Bayan, who collectively represented the municipality in the training designed to strengthen the leadership skills and governance strategies of newly-elected and re-elected local officials.
The three-day course, organized by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) through the Local Government Academy (LGA), emphasized the importance of responsive and accountable governance, leadership development, and effective public service delivery.
Participants were given the opportunity to engage in knowledge-sharing, networking, and strategic discussions aimed at enhancing their capabilities to serve their constituents better.
The presence of Mayor Laurente, Vice Mayor Pimentel, and the Sangguniang Bayan members reflects the LGUโ€™s strong commitment to advancing good governance practices and ensuring that the people of Tago benefit from improved leadership and service delivery.
