The Tago Municipal Police Station held its official Turn-Over of Office Ceremony on August 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM in Barangay Purisima, Tago, Surigao del Sur, marking a significant transition in local police leadership and operations.
The ceremonial turnover saw the formal passing of duties and responsibilities from PLT Methushela B. Desabille, outgoing Officer-In-Charge, to PCPT Romer C. Acos, incoming Officer-In-Charge. The event underscored a new chapter in the station’s commitment to strengthening peace, order, and public safety in the Municipality of Tago.
Presiding over the ceremony was PCOL Jeffrey Lawrence D. Mauricio, Provincial Director of the Surigao del Sur Police Provincial Office, while PLTCOL Johncel B. Barrameda, Chief of PARMU, officially read the relief and designation orders.
The ceremony was graced by Hon. Jelio Val C. Laurente, Municipal Mayor of Tago, who served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker, delivering an inspiring message of support for the Philippine National Police and expressing his gratitude for PLT Desabille’s service, as well as his confidence in the leadership of PCPT Acos.
Also in attendance were Hon. Emmanuel P. Isiang III, ABC President; several Barangay Captains, and various Heads of Offices, all showing their support for the continuity and improvement of local police initiatives.
This milestone event not only reflected a change in command but also reaffirmed the commitment of the Tago MPS to serve with integrity, professionalism, and renewed dedication to its mandate.
